OpenColor – Privacy Policy

Overview

OpenColor ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that extracts and displays colors from websites. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data We Do NOT Collect

OpenColor does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Personal identification information
• Browsing history or visited URLs
• Website content or page data
• Any data sent to external servers

Data Stored Locally

The Extension stores only the following data locally on your device using Chrome's storage.local API:

• Language preference – Whether you have selected English or Korean. This data never leaves your device.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab / scripting / host permissions – Required to scan and modify CSS colors on the currently active page. No page data is collected or transmitted.
• storage – Used solely to save your language setting locally.
• sidePanel – Used to display the OpenColor UI in Chrome's side panel.

Third-Party Services

OpenColor does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
